All smiles as Smilowski and Swierczynska surge up the rankings

Pawel Smilowski and Magdalena Swierczynska (Poland) surge 4 spots to be placed 5th on the BEC Elite Circuit Mixed Doubles rankings. 

Their recent victory in the Latvia International last week no doubt making the difference in this big jump. 

Other notable Mixed Doubles gains were seen by Rodion Kargaev and Viktoriia Vorbeva (Russia), Oliver Schaller and Celine Burkart (Switzerland) and Milosz Bochat and Aneta Wojtkowska (Poland). Who all gain one place and now rank 18th, 19th and 20th respectively.

Small gains in doubles
In the Women’s Doubles ranking, there were one spot gains by Debora Jille and Imke Van Der Aar (Netherlands), Alzbeta Basova and Michaela Fuchsova (Czech Republic) and Emilie Lefel and Anne Tran (France), now ranked 8th, 9th and 12th respectively. While Busra Unlu and Ebru Yazgan (Turkey) jumped 2 spots from 12th to 10th.

There was no movement near the top half of the Men’s Doubles rankings, but one spot gains for Alexander Bass and Shai Geffen (Israel), Nicklas Mathiasen and Mikkel Stoffersen (Denmark), Peter Kaesbauer and Johannes Pistorius (Germany) and Richard Eidestedt and Carl Harrbacka (Sweden). Who now make up the spots 17th through to 20th.

Changes near the top in singles
A couple of swaps occurred in the Women’s Singles ranking. Jordan Hart (Wales) swapped spots with Gayle Mahallete (Netherlands) to now be 14th and 15th respectively. And, Kristin Kuuba (Estonia) changed places with Aliye Demirbag (Turkey) to be 9th and 10th respectively.

In the top 10 Men’s Singles ranking, 3 players made progress by gaining one spot. Luis Enrique Penalver (Spain), Adrian Dziolko (Poland) and Kalle Koljonen (Finland) are now 6th, 7th and 8th respectively. However, the biggest gains were seen by the experienced Raul Must (Estonia), who jumped from 18th to 15th.
